Parent apps

Hillston Central School is using the School Bytes Parent App for digital permission notes and payment of school fees. This will help our teachers distribute and collect parent consent for excursions more quickly and accurately.

School Bytes Parent App is running in parallel with the Sentral Parent Portal.

School Bytes is for excursions and fees. Sentral is for absences, reports and school communications. We advise parents to have both apps on their phone or computer.

The School Bytes portal provides flexibility for you to conveniently:

  • Make school payments online (including paying for multiple siblings at once)
  • Use a family credit to pay for an activity or school contributions
  • Download a receipt for payments made
  • View all historical payments in one place
  • Complete and submit digital permission notes
  • View the status of all permission notes
  • Request a refund if required

This can be done where you want at any time: day or night.

Through the portal, you will easily be able to download a receipt once a payment has been made and have access to view all historical payments when needed. Online payments are processed in real-time and can be viewed by school staff immediately.

While our preference is for payments to be made via the portal, we will still accept payment via cash and EFTPOS.

Mobile App - Parent App

Hillston Central School uses Sentral in our daily management and organisation.

Sentral provides easy communication and engagement between staff as well as between parents and the schools via the Sentral for Parents Portal & App.

Parents are required to register an account with Sentral in order to allow them access to the parent portal.

All new parents receive an email during the first week of school allowing them to register with Sentral.

If your child is a new enrolment or if you have lost the registration code you can contact the school to receive a new one.  

Parent portal

Sentral's parent portal provides parents with access to their child's data. Parents can log in to access their child's report, attendance information, upcoming assessments and wellbeing details as well as updating family contact details.
